Technology Help Desk
MCA students and staff should submit a ticket to the student-led Technology Help Desk if they are experiencing issues with technology or to make a reservation for technology in your classroom. An MCA Technology Ambassador is your first point of contact in resolving technology issues at MCA.

Milwaukee Collegiate Academy features an instructional approach centered on personalized learning, a culture that empowers students and teachers with integrated technology in the classroom. MCA believes that every student — regardless of ZIP code or background — deserves opportunities to use technology to create, design, build, explore, and collaborate.
Every day we hear stories about how not enough African American high school students are studying science, technology, and math. MCA is committed to providing scholars with technology in every classroom.
Milwaukee Collegiate Academy has recruited a team of tech-savvy students who troubleshoot and solve technology problems effectively and offer their advice on how to best leverage Chromebooks in the classroom. The creation of a student-run Help Desk alleviated some of the demands placed on the IT department while at the same time creating a school culture where students became partners.
Teachers and MCA’s Technology Ambassadors now collaborate on which technology tools are most effective in the classroom; everyone is learning together. Technology Ambassadors will often be called upon to demonstrate a technology tool in their classes because they have established themselves as ed tech leaders in the MCA community.
Social media policy
Milwaukee Collegiate Academy (MCA) recognizes that access to technology in school gives students, parents, families and teachers greater opportunities to learn, engage, communicate, and develop skills that will prepare them for work, life, and citizenship. We are committed to helping students develop 21st-century technology and communication skills. To that end, MCA’s Social Media Policy applies to students, staff and families.
The Internet is a powerful amplifier that can be used to spread positivity or negativity. Scholars can take the high road by applying the concept of “treat others as you would like to be treated” to their actions online, creating positive impact for others and disempowering bullying behavior.
Set an Example
- Use the power of the Internet to spread positivity.
- Stop the spread of harmful or untrue messages by not passing them on to others.
- Respect others’ differences.
- Block mean-spirited or inappropriate behavior online.
- Make an effort to provide support to those being bullied.
- Encourage kids to speak up against and report online bullying.
